This week, author Saladin Ahmed noticed a concerning aspect of the Corn Pops illustration while having breakfast with his son.

The writer noted on Twitter:
hey @KelloggsUS why is literally the only brown corn pop on the whole cereal box the janitor? this is teaching kids racism. http://pic.twitter.com/Nh7M7IFawW

Ahmed followed up by acknowledging that even the tiniest detail can make a big difference:
yes its a tiny thing, but when you see your kid staring at this over breakfast and realize millions of other kids are doing the same…

The company almost immediately responded by offering an apology and a solution:
Kellogg is committed to diversity & inclusion. We did not intend to offend – we apologize. The artwork is updated & will be in stores soon.

Spokesman Kris Charles also said in a statement:
"We take feedback very seriously, and it was never our intention to offend anyone. We apologize sincerely."
This is an amazing example of how one voice CAN make a difference -- so never be afraid to call out injustice wherever you see it, bbs!
