Donald Trump Shades A Senator & Gets Pelted With Russian Flags Before GOP Luncheon — & Other Republicans Are Literally Grabbing Popcorn

With Donald Trump in office, every day in the White House is a sad reality show!

And because they can pretend to be above the theatrics for only so long, GOP congressmen are no longer hiding the fact that this real life carnival is more entertaining than HBO's Veep.

Take Tuesday, for example, when schoolyard trash-tweeting between POTUS and GOP Senator Bob Corker broke out hours before a lunch between Trump and Senate Republicans.

For those fortunate enough to miss it, the President tried roasting the Senator on Twitter, writing that Corker "couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee." Corker hit back, writing that the "untruthful" president should "#AlertTheDayCareStaff"! (zing!)

Related: BTW, Kid Rock Was NEVER Running For Senate!

Infantilizing hashtags? Passive aggressive shade before lunch? If you think this sounds like a Real Housewives episode -- you're not alone! Other government officials were loving the Bravo-esque entertainment.

But on the way to the luncheon, Trump found himself in some real drama when he was ambushed by a protester. A man identified as Ryan Clayton from Americans Take Action was recorded shouting "Trump is treason!" as he tossed Russian flags at the president.

See the incident -- including Trump's poorly-timed "thumbs up" -- for yourself:

LOL, this is better than premium cable! (So long as we ignore the Russian collusion stuff...)

Well, we can either let these trivial government spats ruin our day, or we can be like Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina and enjoy the unraveling shit show:

Hand us over some of that popcorn, Thom!
